The Master of Science (MSc) in International Business by E-Learning is delivered jointly by London South Bank University (LSBU) and The International Business Academy in Kolding, Denmark (IBA)
The programme:
- is taught and assessed entirely in English
- can be studied in spare time from home or at work using the latest e-learning techniques without any interruption in career or domestic situation. The only equipment required is a computer with dial-up internet connection
- is based on a full-time MSc degree programme introduced at LSBU in 1991. During this time, the programme has been adopted at several leading universities worldwide with growing student numbers every year
- enables students to develop an advanced level of knowledge, analytical awareness and critical understanding of the complex, changing and multi-faceted character of international business in the modern world, as well as the environment in which it operates
- is delivered by two recognised institutions which have combined their expertise and experience in higher education going back more than a century, with the latest methods of teaching and learning designed to address the needs of industry and the service sector in today’s fast-changing world
- combines the extensive teaching and research experience at LSBU with ground-breaking expertise in undergraduate-level e-learning delivery pioneered by the IBA in 1997

E-Learning Concept
The e-learning concept applied makes use of both on-line conference facilities and inter-active multimedia-based learning objects to facilitate individual learning. All teaching is effected over the Internet with standard browsers like Netscape and Microsoft Explorer (the latest versions work best). No plug-ins or downloads are necessary. Obviously, some degree of self-study is required. The student is typically asked to obtain information through books and the Internet before discussing on-line with fellow students.
The current Learning Management System (LMS) is called Blackboard, which is one of the most advanced e-learning systems, but also one of the easiest to use. This platform has been chosen because it supports our unique e-learning concept very well.
Communication is mostly done electronically. Examinations take place in either London or Kolding. Study Programme
There are 4 semesters of study, and each semester contains 2 study units. Each study unit is concluded by a written exam.
After successful completion of the 8 study units, a dissertation is written during the 5th semester.
- International Strategy and Analytical Techniques
- Int. Finance and Int. Marketing
- Management in International Firms and Int. Trade
- Research Methods and European Management and Business Strategy
The units may also be taken individually and in random order, but the individual unit only starts once a year, unless there are special circumstances.

The total fee of DKK 85,000
The tuition fees include all teaching and exams, learning support and administrative costs. The tuition fee does not include the cost of books.

I mere end 100 år har Kolding Købmandsskole udviklet sig fra at være en skole med 18 studerende på aftenskole til en uddannelsesinstitution med dag- og aftenundervisning for ca. 6000 studerende.
I 2002 fusionerede Kolding Købmandsskole med Fredericia-Middelfart Handelsskole og tog navneforandring til The International Business College (IBC) – i 2004 fusionerede IBC med Aabenraa Købmandsskole og IBC er nu en skole med 3.400 elever, studerende og kursister.en unik kombination af teoretisk og praktisk uddannels.
